I’m Joanna, and as a fellow soul-seeker and meaning-maker, I know you might not know exactly what you want, but maybe you just know something has to change.

What if you could start a new relationship with yourself, with your light, your dark, your past wounds and your greatest gifts? What if you could own your whole story, while becoming the person you want to be?

I want to inspire you and give you steps to get closer to your true self – to accept and be all parts of yourself, in all areas of your life.

I want to help you embody and express your “wildish nature.”

But what does that mean?

This is shaping who we are from the inside out. Owning your whole story and learning to embrace your light, your dark, your deepest wounds and your greatest gifts. Seeking soul and making meaning in the mundane.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist passionate about helping women learn to connect, cultivate, and create magic with their wild and unapologetic selves, from the inside out. I want to help you own your whole story and unleash your wildish nature in everything you do. Because a life well-lived, depends on it.

MY STORY: What led me here?

In my twenties, shortly after becoming a mother, I received a crushing autoimmune diagnosis that turned my world upside down. The prognosis given to me was grim: a life of chronic pain and crippling disability.

In that moment, something within me awoke. Beyond the diagnosis, I was certain this experience held far deeper meaning for me than what I could grasp at the time.

Today I realize, that up until that point, I had been, as Jungian Psychoanalyst, Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estés, would say, “still asleep.”

That diagnosis was my wake-up call.

What exactly did I need awakening to? In a word, myself.

In the months of soul-searching that followed, I was able to make a profound connection between my physical symptoms and the way I had been caring for myself, not only physically, but emotionally and spiritually, as well.

What I discovered was this:

  • I was not prioritizing self-care.
  • I had placed my needs at the bottom of an ever-growing list of to-dos.
  • I had built my life around social and cultural norms rather than living my authentic truth.
  • I had unconsciously drifted from who I was at my center, and I found myself looking to the world to inform who I should be as a mother, a wife, a professional, and a woman.
  • I allowed the very best parts of myself, to get buried under the weight of unexamined expectations.

In the words of author and soul activist, Francis Weller, I had been “flattened from the weight of domestication.”

Then, I decided to turn it all around.

I made drastic changes in how I was eating, living, and loving.

I adopted an uncompromising mind-body approach to my health and life, started digging into my shadow, and cultivated regular practices that nourished me – mind, body, heart and soul.

Slowly I was able to reconnect with my true self, get back into my body, regain my health and vitality, and start writing the script on my life the way I wanted it to read.

Along my journey through the wilderness, I’ve discovered what it takes to reclaim the vital soul spark.

To wake up to the truth of who you are.
To accept and be all parts of yourself
in all aspects of your life.
